I’ve been thinking about starting this little blog anyway, and I’ve just now gotten around to it in a bizarre failure to procrastinate and be lazy. So, what is this site, other than YAWB (Yet Another WordPress Blog)?

Quite simply, I’ve noticed in the past few months that almost every day I run across a story in the news that makes me think “no matter how bad your day was, it wasn’t this bad”. I’ve taken to sending links to stories that fit that description out to my friends as “today’s installment of no matter how bad your day was…”, and it occurred to me that it’d make a decently amusing blog or article site similar to slashdot, worsethanfailure, that kind of thing. Of course that all somewhat depends on whether I can manage to update this site on a regular basis, but I’ve recruited a friend of mine, Jay Cross (yes, we’re both named Jay), to help me keep the site fresh with new content, so let’s give it a try!
